Create and activate a lease

Before you start

• Property and unit exist.
• Tenant record created (or applicant approved).

Steps

1. Open People → Leases (/people/leases).
2. Click New lease and select property, unit, and tenant(s).
3. Set start date, end date (if fixed), and monthly rent.
4. Activate the lease — the unit shows occupied and rent charges can generate.

Notes

• Creating a lease for a listed unit may mark the listing LEASED automatically.
• Use move-in workflows from the property profile when available.
